Our goal is to establish Aotearoa NZ’s first national, co-designed strategy for hearing health, grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity, prevention, and evidence-based practice.
We have prepared a draft of a Hearing Health Strategy, based on some initial engagement, research, policy advice, and sector expertise. This shares some initial ideas of what a Hearing Health Strategy could look like, and what might work in practice. It is intended to be a “strawman” proposal that you can explore, with the hope that you will let us know what you do like, what you don’t, or what ideas you think would work better to achieve our shared goal.
Right now, we are looking for an initial “temperature check” to see how this idea is landing with our community, sector, and stakeholders. From there, we’ll take your feedback on board to shape our plans for deeper engagement.
