Hearing Aid Gift & Repurposing Programme

Hearing well can make a significant difference to everyday life, yet the cost of hearing aids can be out of reach for some New Zealanders.

From Tuesday 1st September, through the generous support of Bay Audiology, the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Foundation's Hearing Aid Gift & Repurposing Programme provides gifted and repurposed hearing aids to eligible people experiencing financial hardship. 

To be eligible for the programme, you must:

1. Hold a current Community Services Card.
2. Be able to provide proof of New Zealand Citizenship or Residency and have lived in New Zealand for at least three years.
3. Have a diagnosed hearing loss that requires hearing aids.
4. Upload a current audiogram and a letter from an audiologist recommending hearing aids.
5. Complete the Hearing Aid Gift & Repurposing Programme application form and provide all required supporting documentation.

* Hearing aids available through the programme vary in brand, model and features. Bay Audiology will endeavour to match successful applicants with the most suitable available device for their hearing needs.  A limited number of hearing aids are available, so support is subject to availability.
