I’m proud to be fundraising for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Foundation! This is a cause that is very close to my heart. As a Resource Teacher of the Deaf, I see firsthand the difference that communication, connection and inclusion can make in the lives of Deaf and hard of hearing tamariki, and their whānau.

For me, this fundraiser is about more than raising money. It’s about helping create a world where Deaf and hard of hearing people feel understood, included, supported and connected and where barriers to communication and participation don’t stand in the way of someone reaching their potential.

The Foundation does incredible work across Aotearoa to support Deaf and hard of hearing people and communities.
