Apply for a Hearing Aid Fund Grant
Applications are open all year round
The Hearing Aid Fund supports hard of hearing New Zealanders who are facing financial hardship to purchase new hearing aids. Applications can be made by individuals to apply for a grant, to the total of $500.00, to purchase new hearing aids.
Hearing Aid Fund Criteria:
To make an application to the hearing aid fund you must:

Be over 18 years of age.

Be able to provide proof of NZ Citizenship OR NZ Residency (eg. Copy of passport, NZ Residency visa or Returning Resident visa and show you have lived in NZ for 3 years or longer).

Have a hearing loss that requires hearing aids.

Provide an audiogram or letter from Audiologist confirming hearing loss.

Fully complete the application form below and ensure ALL supporting documents are attached.
Conditions of application:

A grant of $500.00 from the NFDHH Hearing Aid Fund can be used to purchase new hearing aids from any audiology clinic in New Zealand.

If your application is successful, you will need to provide a quote from your audiology clinic and NFDHH will pay the grant funds directly to the to the clinic on your behalf.

Based on the above criteria, decisions to approve applications are made by the National Foundation for Deaf and Hard of Hearing and are final.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application, no later than 4 weeks after submitting an application.
